Hi, I’m Dr Lisa Ahmad.

Clinical Psychologist, EMDR Consultant in Training and founder of a specialist psychology practice supporting high-functioning, high-achieving women who look like they are coping yet feel anything but.

I also lead a small collective of associate Clinical Psychologists who deliver therapy within the practice, allowing me to focus on my specialist EMDR and coaching work while ensuring our clients receive the highest standard of care across the service.

About Us

My Story

For years, I was that woman. Holding everything together, achieving on all fronts, raising four children while my military husband was deployed, running a clinical career and a business… and slowly shutting down inside.


If you had asked me then whether I was stressed, I would have said no. Because I couldn’t feel it. I was disconnected from myself, and my body was carrying the cost – migraines, hormonal chaos, digestive issues and eventually an autoimmune diagnosis that stopped me in my tracks.
It took another psychologist gently reflecting back what I couldn’t see to realise that I couldn’t keep boarding the same bus and expect it to take me anywhere different.


So I changed course. Slowly. Imperfectly. But with intention.
And everything I now teach and support my clients with EMDR (learning how to steady emotionally, understanding the patterns that push high-achieving women into burnout), is informed by a sound clinical evidence base and the lived reality of an ambitious leader and parent, who wants a full, meaningful life.

I blend EMDR, psychology and EMDR-informed coaching to help women learn how to turn down the dial and switch off, so that they can dial it back up and stretch into their potential. In doing so, I help them reconnect with themselves and live the life they have worked so hard to build, without burning themselves into the ground, or blowing up their career or relationship.

My practice offers:
