Executive wellbeing consulting
Executive Wellbeing Consultancy
Senior leadership is one of the loneliest roles in any organisation. The higher the position, the fewer the people with whom it is safe to be honest, about doubt, about pressure, about the cost of holding everything together while being expected to make it look effortless.
Executive wellbeing consultancy exists for the leaders who are performing on every external measure, and quietly running low on every internal one. And for the organisations that are astute enough to know that the wellbeing of their most senior people is not a peripheral concern, it is a strategic one.
This is specialist, confidential support at the intersection of clinical psychology, performance science and leadership. It is not generic coaching. It is not an EAP referral. It is rigorous, expert and built entirely around the individual and the context they are operating in.
Who This Is For
Executive wellbeing consultancy is for senior leaders and the organisations that support them. It works across a range of contexts and entry points, because the need rarely arrives in a neat or predictable form
For the leader who is still performing, but at a cost
Some of the most capable executives seek support not because something has broken, but because they can feel it starting to. High performance sustained through chronic pressure, poor sleep, emotional suppression or the absence of genuine recovery is not sustainable. This consultancy offers proactive, confidential support to leaders who want to stay at the top of their game, without it costing them everything outside of work.
For the leader who is showing signs of burnout or breakdown
When a senior leader begins to falter – in their decision-making, their relationships, their capacity to lead, the organisation often does not know how to respond. This is specialist support for those moments. Assessment, psychological understanding, a clear recovery plan and the kind of consistent, expert presence that generic wellbeing programmes simply cannot provide.
For HR bringing someone confidentially
Sometimes the most important conversations happen quietly. HR Directors and People leads bring leaders to this consultancy when they need something more than a referral, when the situation requires clinical expertise, discretion and an approach that holds both the individual and the organisational context with equal seriousness.
For post-incident or crisis support
When something significant happens, a restructure, a sudden loss, a reputational crisis, a breakdown in a leadership team, the aftermath requires more than a return-to-work plan. This consultancy provides immediate, expert psychological support that stabilises the individual and helps the organisation navigate what comes next.
For organisations building a serious wellbeing strategy
Wellbeing strategy that does not address the psychological health of senior leaders is incomplete. This consultancy works with organisations at a systemic level too, advising on culture, identifying risk, and ensuring that the people who set the tone in every room are themselves well-supported.
What the Consultancy Includes
Support is shaped entirely around the individual and the organisation. No two engagements look exactly the same. What follows is the core offer.
1:1 Confidential Sessions
Individual sessions that combine clinical psychological expertise with performance coaching. These are not conversations that happen in a coaching app or over a quick call, they are structured, expert engagements that create real space for a senior leader to think, to process and to build the insight and capacity they need to lead well.
Sessions draw on evidence-based approaches including EMDR, trauma-informed practice, neuroscience and performance psychology. The depth of approach is calibrated to what the individual needs, from high-performance coaching to deeper psychological support.
Burnout Assessment and Recovery Planning
A structured clinical assessment of burnout, its depth, its drivers and its impact on the individual and the system around them. This goes significantly beyond a wellbeing questionnaire. It produces a clear, honest picture of where the leader is, what has contributed to it and what a realistic, evidence-based recovery looks like.
The recovery plan is practical and specific. It addresses the psychological, the physical, the relational and the organisational, because burnout rarely has a single cause and rarely responds to a single intervention.
Psychological Support for Executives
For leaders who need more than coaching. Where there are deeper psychological drivers at play, anxiety, trauma history, identity disruption, significant stress, this consultancy provides the clinical expertise to work with them directly. This is not therapy in a clinical setting. It is expert psychological support, delivered in a format and with a language that works for high-functioning leaders who may never have sought this kind of help before.
Confidentiality is absolute. The work is entirely separate from any organisational reporting structures.
Retained Consultancy
For organisations that want consistent, expert psychological support embedded into their senior leadership culture. A retained arrangement provides ongoing access, for individuals, for HR, and at an advisory level for the organisation, with the continuity and depth of relationship that one-off interventions cannot replicate.
Retained consultancy is particularly valuable during periods of significant organisational change, when the psychological demands on senior leaders are highest and the consequences of getting it wrong are most significant.
How It Works
Every engagement begins with an initial conversation, with the individual, with HR, or with both. There is no fixed template. The structure, frequency and focus of the work is established collaboratively, based on a clear understanding of what is needed and what the organisation can support.
For individual leaders, this is a confidential relationship. For organisations commissioning the work, there is clarity from the outset about what is and is not shared, so that the executive can engage with genuine openness.
Engagements are available as:
- A defined short-term intervention, typically six to twelve sessions with a clear focus
- An open-ended, ongoing consultancy relationship
- A retained organisational arrangement with agreed access and scope
- Intensive support during a specific crisis or transition period
Fees are provided following an initial conversation, once the shape of the engagement is clear. All work is delivered in person or remotely, with the format agreed based on the individual’s preference and location.
Why This Is Different
Most wellbeing support available to organisations is built for the middle of the organisation. EAPs, group programmes, general coaching. These are valuable for many people, but they are not built for the specific psychological demands, the specific visibility and the specific isolation of senior leadership.
This consultancy is. It is led by a clinical psychologist and performance coach with direct experience of working at the most complex and high-stakes end of psychological practice. The approach is evidence-based, the depth is clinical, and the understanding of what it actually means to lead at a senior level is real.
Senior leaders deserve support that matches the weight of what they carry. This is that support.
If you are considering this for yourself or for a leader in your organisation, the first step is a confidential conversation. There is no obligation and no assessment, just an honest discussion about whether and how this consultancy could help.
